Bruce Russell
Founding Partner

Bruce brings extensive experience and knowledge to The Stratford Companies. With his leadership, the Company develops projects that are completed on time and within budget.

Bruce’s areas of expertise include concept development, feasibility analysis, project modeling, financial pro forma, budgeting, governmental approval management, and professional services management (i.e. financing, architecture, engineering, contracting and marketing). In addition, he has provided direction for community development innovations, which have enhanced staff efficiencies, consumer satisfaction and overall financial performance.

Working with various partnerships, not-for-profit organizations and for-profit corporations, Bruce has analyzed marketplace potential and opportunities in over 25 states resulting in projects totaling over $400 million in development. He has developed various types of senior housing including independent and assisted living as well as skilled nursing, mental health, recreational, wellness, specialized health services, and senior centers in condominiums, apartments and single family housing.

Bruce has served as Senior Consultant to several Washington, D.C. public policy firms and provided training across the U.S. on the Older American Act. Bruce holds an M.A. in Health Administration from the University of Denver, and a B.S. in Social Services from Colorado State University. In addition, he is a member of the American Seniors Housing Association. He has also served as Deputy Director of the Missouri Division of Aging and as Director of Professional Education at the University of Missouri’s Center for Aging.
